In A Carnival
Words & Music by Edgar Montes De Oca copyright 6-10-00
I found
myself in a carnival, the fat man said he had it all
The bearded lady fell asleep on the lap of a
47 year old freak
Well I don’t mean to cause an emergency, but
I swear to God this
is not a dream
I felt her beard up then she shaved and the
fat man cried and
slapped me in my face
And
I’ve just not been myself these days
so the cops are here to take me away
Believe me I don’t wanna go but I had a life
now it’s getting old
The ring master was never there and the
human cannon ball
vanished in the air
And
I’m scared that I may end my life
so the cops are here to take me for a ride,
my my my
I’ve been out of line, I’ve been seeing
things I just don’t wanna
hear
I feel so abused, never had the blues so bad
I wanna disappear..........
The
longing in the fat man’s face, the bearded lady in disgrace
And the freak don’t care about a thing
He told
me that the loser
never wins, safe within
When all my friends are old and gray
perhaps they’ll understand
me for today
And I
know I don’t want suicide so the cops are here to take me
for a ride, my my my
Cause I’ve just not been myself these days
so the cops are here to
take me away
